Azores and Back Yacht Race 2011

After Sam White and Richard Raistricks efforts on the race to the Azores the race home will see Sam's first solo ocean race. The competion comprises some of the finest sailors in the UK and thanks to a great race here Sam is still well within sight of a podium finish. This is Yacht racing at its best and of course anything could happen in the next 1250 miles.

  1. You certainly deserve a rest after all that! Great to hear you can get the mainsail repaired and the kite is fixed. According to the weather forecast, you're going to need it! Running all the way to Lowestoft!

Have a good sleep and catch you on the next blog,

  2. from KAY----I could have said "smashing" as in your last blog you had done brilliantly and seemed to have got everything sorted. After dad's telephone call that would not be a good word as I gather you've hit the dock in the wind and manoveures so repairing of bow sprit now. Sounds like the engine and prop have survived the rope, fingers crossed that the repairs and rest of the race is less stressful. xxx
