Azores and Back Yacht Race 2011

After Sam White and Richard Raistricks efforts on the race to the Azores the race home will see Sam's first solo ocean race. The competion comprises some of the finest sailors in the UK and thanks to a great race here Sam is still well within sight of a podium finish. This is Yacht racing at its best and of course anything could happen in the next 1250 miles.

Comedy sets sail....

At around 7pm thus evening I said goodbye to Comedy and wished the delivery Crew (aka Dad + Shane!) a good trip to Falmouth. The weather forecast looks kind and they should get a good sail to the West Country. With a 15 kt NW breeze progress should be good and I expect them to arrive in Falmouth late Tues night/Early Wed morn. Due to work commitments I will be meeting the boat there on Wed night late.

5 days to go till the start. The excitement is settling in and the forecast has been published. More news of that and how it will effect the game plan to follow.......
