Azores and Back Yacht Race 2011

After Sam White and Richard Raistricks efforts on the race to the Azores the race home will see Sam's first solo ocean race. The competion comprises some of the finest sailors in the UK and thanks to a great race here Sam is still well within sight of a podium finish. This is Yacht racing at its best and of course anything could happen in the next 1250 miles.

Leaving for Plymouth

The 2 of us 5 minutes before leaving for Plymouth. Its Raining! We filled up with fresh water ...............motored out of the solent and by 10 past 4 the needles were behind us. By 5 we were bailing out 60 litres of fresh water from every orifice of the inside of the boat! The fresh water tank had split! Luckily this is only the delivery, had it been the race we would have had to return to Plymouth and any hope of a good finish place would have fast evaporated, unlike this bloody water!

    and there was you thinking that you had everything fixed.....at least the boat is extra clean from all that water.... little Sis
