was warm. If this wasn't a race I think I may have even taken a dip!
Approaching beachy head the wind started to go again. By the time we
were abeam the lighthouse the code zero went up and we made good speed
for a while in a direction at least similar to where we wanted to go
with just 5 kts wind.
Haivng taken 5 minutes out and had a very tasty Chicken Dhansak I have
now looked at the others positions around us. We have pulled away
again from Fastrack giving us 7.5 miles on them but Chris once again
is proving hard to close on. He currently has a 5.5 mile lead. I think
the others ahead are making slow progress too so at this point it is
possible for the whole fleet to swap positions!
Although we are enjoying a pleasent day at the moment the thought of
it taking us another 70 hours from here doesn't really do it for us!
Let's hope for some breeze. And if I can be really picky could we hope
for it to start from here!!
shall I cook breakfast and come down to Shanklin beach about 7am sunday in the hopes that you are passing??? Keep smiling not far now and at least the boat is enjoying a bit of leisurely sailing after some of your other legs.
