and just couldn't budge it.
It took us about 30 minutes. E
30 minutes that others would be moving again! Bringing in the line and
lifting the anchor was the hardest workout I think I have ever had.
When it's the middle of the night and as well as racing all day I
rowed for what seemed like hours earlier in the day it felt even
harder. In fact once it aS up I sat in the foredeck without moving for
20 minutes to get my breath as Dad concentrated on racing the boat
once again. After some dinner and some sleep the wind had once again
died to nothing. I stood watch and got whatever boat speed I could out
of the boat but whatever I did it wasn't enough to stem the tide so I
watched for 5 hours as we went North, South, and East but never West.
After my watched the wind filled in once again and we have been making
good progress towards Strat point. The most frustrating thing now is
we have no idea if the other got through inshore whilst we sat
helplessly drifting or if offshore was the way to go.
It's not long now before we find out....
