Azores and Back Yacht Race 2011

After Sam White and Richard Raistricks efforts on the race to the Azores the race home will see Sam's first solo ocean race. The competion comprises some of the finest sailors in the UK and thanks to a great race here Sam is still well within sight of a podium finish. This is Yacht racing at its best and of course anything could happen in the next 1250 miles.

Zero, nought, nothing, zip.

No forward motion at all! Wind 3kts, therfore we can sail at around 2
kts. Tide, 2.5 kts! There's the problem! We have dropped the anchor
and now have started the tiresome job of catching the sun we have
missed being up north and chilling out!

We will wait for the tide to turn but unfortunatly it just gives those
that have already finished a further advantage, just for sitting in
the bar! Doesn't seem very fair!.....
