Azores and Back Yacht Race 2011

After Sam White and Richard Raistricks efforts on the race to the Azores the race home will see Sam's first solo ocean race. The competion comprises some of the finest sailors in the UK and thanks to a great race here Sam is still well within sight of a podium finish. This is Yacht racing at its best and of course anything could happen in the next 1250 miles.

Another year goes by.....

One year on and the preparation are well under way for this years event. On the 4th June Comedy of Errors will once agian cross a start line with the aim of completing a voyage that will test her crew and the boat to the maximum. Hopefully this years race will involve less dramas and certainly less rocks!

The race- To the Azores, the Island in the middle of the Atlantic ocean, and back. This time Sam will be the Skipper and with Tony taking a back seat (shore based) ride on this one, he will be joined by Richard as his co-skipper on the race there and will have to suffer his own company as he sets sail alone for the return leg.

1250 miles 2 handed outbound and a lonely 1250 miles Solo on the way home.

With a Sat phone linking the boat to to world wide web throghout the trip there will be a lot more updates, and Comedy will even be able to recieve text messages and emails. The tracker will work as before to keep everyone in 'the loop' and there are also some very familiar boats to race against, will Chris Tibbs in Taika once again prove imposible to keep at bay??

Join us for the race- send us messages and follow our progress here.
1 month till the start gun- I cant wait!!
