Azores and Back Yacht Race 2011

After Sam White and Richard Raistricks efforts on the race to the Azores the race home will see Sam's first solo ocean race. The competion comprises some of the finest sailors in the UK and thanks to a great race here Sam is still well within sight of a podium finish. This is Yacht racing at its best and of course anything could happen in the next 1250 miles.

Motoring out for the start..

The new sails are up- the wind E/NE and the sun blazing. All that 1hr 20 to the start. All that remains now is to sail far out over the horizon and into the Atlantic ocean and find a small a small island in a huge ocean! How hard can it be?!? Oh and of course, try and beat all the others in our class!

All is good- let's get it going!
